canadian singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress Julianne Hobby, presents original music following an exciting theatre career, performing on North America’s largest stages.

a recent breakaway in country music, Julianne’s original songs have been featured on CBC Radio and country stations across Ontario. her powerful stage presence, unique vocal qualities and distinctive style place her in a class of her own.

A period of profound challenge was the catalyst for her songwriting, and with country music as her greatest comfort, she came out singing it. beneath her often sweet vocals, A wild and rebellious spirit makes itself known in her music.

Originally from London, Ontario, Julianne left home at a young age to live and train professionally at Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto. In her senior years at the school, she also pursued her love for singing, studying classical voice privately before graduating and attending the Musical Theatre program at Sheridan College.  Julianne quickly began her professional career with companies including Opera Atelier, The Stratford Festival, Mirvish Productions, and the North American tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Wizard of Oz.  On this tour, Julianne stepped into the leading role of glinda the good witch and performed in prestigious theatres including The Smith Centre, Las Vegas and The Pantages Theatre, Los Angeles.

when not singing high notes, julianne can be found doing dance aerobics with her chihuahuas.
